Driving Directions From the Main Hawaii Volcanoes Entrance - As you are leaving the main park entrance/exit turn left onto the main highway towards Kona driving about 1 hour.  At mile marker 68 (which also is the Kiolakaa Road) drive up the mountain veering left past the Kiolaka’a Ranger Station where you will then see the Kiolakaa Ranger sign above.  Follow the gravel road about 2/10th mile dead ending into your pasture’s gate.

Between mile markers 70 and 71 (about 2 1/2 miles from Kiolakaa Road) is the new Hawaii Volcanoes National Park Kahuku entrance that is only open part time
